- by identifying critical academic needs and providing guidance and funding to meet those needs.

School Plan
The SCC creates a yearly school plan that specifies Orem High School’s greatest area of need and a corresponding goal. The 2016-2017 school plan goal is as follows:
Our School Community Council has determined that the greatest academic needs of OHS students is improved competence in core subjects with a corresponding improvement in the new Sage test scores, and support as needed for elective courses necessary for graduation.
The Council’s full plan can be read in the 2015-2016 School Plan.
As a council, we are interested in hearing your concerns. Please contact a member of the council if you have concerns or questions.

SCC Elections
The Orem High School SCC votes to elect its chair and vice chair at its September meeting. Membership in the council is open to every interested stakeholder. Elections for SCC members occur in September, and information about these elections is posted in the main office and sent out via email and phone calls. One ballot is provided for parent/guardian members, and another for OHS faculty members. The SCC must have two more parent/guardian stakeholders than OHS faculty members; the number of parents/guardians on the council determines the maximum number of faculty members on the council.
