Student of the Day:
        Christopher Pratt chosen by Mr. Mike Browning.

Students:    East Shore will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 10th and on Thursday, Oct. 11th. They will reopen again on Tuesday, Oct. 16th.

Wrestling:    Anyone interested in Wrestling take a look on the plasmas for information.

Operation Smile:
        We are having a planning activity tonight from 5:00 to 7:00 at Big Screen Game Center. We will plan our fund raisers for the year and then have some fun. Everyone is welcome to join us! Come to the main office for information and the address to Big Screen Game Center. See you there!

Any Seniors who are interested in applying for Sterling Scholar:

         You may pick up information in Room 1103 or in the Media Center.  Applications are also available or can be downloaded from sterlingscholar.com.  This is a great opportunity to win scholarships and strengthen your career resume.  Applications are due in just three weeks!

Drama:    Auditions for "Into the Woods" will be held Wednesday, Oct 17th!

Blood Drive:   
        The first Blood Drive of the year is coming up.  Oct 8th all day.  Sign up for your time in coach Steele's room.  You need to be at least 16 years of age and everybody has to have a Parent permission slip signed on the date of the blood drive you can get the permission slip in Steele's room or the front office.  Thanks

Sophomores and Juniors:

        Orem High will be offering the PSAT on Wednesday, October 17th at 8:00 am.  Not only is the PSAT a great way to practice for the SAT or even the ACT, there are many scholarships that require the PSAT.  If you would like to sign up to take the PSAT, please register at the Finance Office.  The cost for the test is $15.  Once you have signed up, you may see Mr. Kenley in the Counseling Office to receive the Official Student Guide to the PSAT.  There are a limited number of tests available and they will go to the first students to sign up, so don't delay."
