Winners at National Make It With Wool competition in San Antonio, TX:
    Congratulations go to  Jake Worthington and Tiia Hollingshaus!
    Jake Worthington was 1st runner up in the senior division
    Tiia Hollingshaus was 3rd runner up in the junior division

Attention all NHS members!
    Our next mandatory service project is this Wednesday, January 30th from 4-6:45pm.  We will be helping families make child identification kits.  Remember, you have to attend 3 of the 5 mandatory projects and this is our third one.

Girls, if you are a junior and are interested in government, politics, and general good citizenship, you may be interested in signing up for this year's Girl's State program! 
    Participants learn how to participate in the functioning of their state's government in preparation for their future roles as responsible adult citizens.  If you are a junior, good student, and have an interest in participating in Girl's State, please see Mr. Kenley in the Counseling Office to get an application.

Attention Sophomores:
    The ACT Plan test scores are in, you may pick them up in the counseling office.

    Also, there are still Plan test scores from last year in the counseling office waiting to be picked up.

Students, do you still need help with college or scholarship applications?

    All students who have not bought a yearbook!  Please don't forget that the last day to either purchase or put a deposit on a yearbook will be Jan. 30.  We must have a final count of who wants a yearbook on that day.  If you do not purchase or put a deposit on a yearbook by Jan. 30, you are not guaranteed a yearbook at the end of the year.  Please check with the accounting office if you have questions and please check to make sure you have bought a yearbook.

The Career Fair is here today at Orem High!
    Students, are you interested in a career in Engineering, Aviation,
    Technology, Computers or the Health Care field? We have working professionals in these Careers, and many more, coming to visit you! The Career Fair will be in the Commons Area from 11:30am-1:00pm. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to speak to a working professional and look into several different career opportunities all in one place!

Concurrent Enrollment students:
    January 23 is the last day to enroll in UVU for spring semester.
    January 25 is the last day to sign up for concurrent classes. 

Drama club members: 
    We will be performing and visiting at Seville Retirement Home tomorrow at 2:30. All those who plan to go please come to a short meeting today right after school in the drama room.

Sterling Scholars: please remember your appointment with Mrs Peterson
this week. If you haven't signed up for a time stop by her room and
get your name on the list.

Sterling Scholars: 
    Please be ready to submit your portfolios by this week-end and remember to print a hard copy.  There is a sign-up on Mrs. Peterson's door for times next week  to go over each portfolio and make any needed changes. Thanks for your work so far!

Monday, January 14th is the last day for class changes.  Please pay $5.00 in the Accounting Office before seeing the counselors.

Students:    If you want to take the Feb. 9th ACT test you need to register by this Friday, January 11th, to avoid a late fee.  Come to the counseling office for information on signing up.
