Parent/Teacher Conference today, Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.
    Please remind your parent of this.

West Side Cast:
    Please be sure to stop by the drama room and pick up a pink schedule just inside the door!

Tigers! 
    Make plans now to come see the very funny play "The Importance of Being Earnest" in the Little Theater.  It will be playing next week on Wednesday and Thursday and then again from the 25th to the 28th.  And Drama Club members check the Orem High Drama Facebook page for details about the activity planned during the play!

The next meeting for the Math Girls Rock group will be held Thursday, February 14th right after school in room 3104. 
    All girls who are participating in Math Girls Rock are invited to come and enjoy games, food, and prizes.  If you have not turned in your permission slips to attend the club, please turn those in AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to either Mr. Kenley or Mrs. Burr.

Blood drive Feb 14th:
     The drive will again be limited to 70 donors.  Sign up in Coach Steele's, everybody will need to have a parent permission and a time of donation to donate, room 1209.  help save lives give blood. Also one more thing, all students donating blood have to have a pre-excuse absence form (pink form) filled out prior to giving blood.

The Morning Driver Ed class is full. 
    Any students wanting to take class this spring will now have to take it in the afternoon there are only a few spots left in the afternoon..

Seniors:
    Keys to Success has 4 scholarships to give out this year. Check out the posters around school! All applications are due by Wednesday, March 20th in the Work Room. Pick up applications in the Career Center or in the Counseling Office. Applicants have to be a senior and have received a Key Card this year. If you are interested and have not received a Key Card talk to any of your teachers to find out how to get one.

    Remember to pick up your schedules in the drama room after school

DigiGirlz, a one-day technology conference sponsored by Microsoft, gives high school girls the opportunity to learn about careers in technology, connect with Microsoft employees, and participate in hands-on computer and technology workshops.  If you are a young lady who is interested in technology, this would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  If you are interested stop by and visit with Mr. Wakefield in room 2202 for more details.

    We are having a dinner and activities here at OHS on Monday, Feb. 11th at 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Tickets on sale $5.00 at the Financial Office or $7.00 at the door. Come and celebrate with us.

The Sweethearts dance is coming up on Feb 9th! 
    Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to come to Skyfall, the 2013 Sweethearts dance this Saturday February 9th!  Gentleman don’t miss this opportunity to ask that girl and be a secret agent!  Come to Skyfall dressed in James Bond/Secret Agent style, Formal, or Semi Formal.  No guns or weapons (even plastic).  Tickets are available now in the financial office and are $15 presale and $20 at the door.  Several lucky couples will also win prizes at the dance!  See you there!

 Girls, if you are a junior and are interested in government, politics, and general good citizenship, you may be interested in signing up for this year's Girl's State program! 
    Participants learn how to participate in the functioning of their state's government in preparation for their future roles as responsible adult citizens.  If you are a junior, good student, and have an interest in participating in Girl's State, please see Mr. Kenley in the Counseling Office to get an application.
