Congratulations to the Boy’s Basketball team on their win yesterday.  They will play again tonight at 7:30. Spirit buses will be leaving from the High School at 5:30 pm, tickets are $5 for the bus and $5 for the game

Student council application packets are due to Mr. Rice TODAY at 3 p.m. sharp. There will be a trash can outside of Mr. Rice’s door for applications that come after 3 p.m. Do not forget to include your platform, your transcript, a photo, and your parent’s signature. Teachers cannot fill out your evaluations until we get your packet in so don’t wait. Get on it today.

Prom Tickets are now available in the financial office, so get your tickets right away. They are $30 pre-sale and $35 at the door. Don’t forget Prom is MARCH 7th.

All Juniors will take the ACT test on Tuesday March 3rd.

You must bring:

  • Two #2 Pencils
  • A Photo ID (School ID, Drivers License or Passport)
  • A Calculator if you want one

Your room assignments for taking the test will be posted around the school on goldenrod papers. Be in your testing room at 7:45! You cannot start the test late, no exceptions.

If you have not filled out your ACT answer form in your English class see your English teacher asap.

On March 3rd Sophomores and Seniors don’t have to come to school until 12:40. Here is the schedule for that day.

B5       12:40 – 1:00

B6       1:05 – 1:25

B7       1:30 – 1:50

B8       1:55 – 2:15

 

Free SAT and ACT Cram Sessions for the March 3rd and April 18th ACT and March 14th SAT test dates will be hosted from February 21st-March 8th.

For students who would like extra help for the Spring SAT and ACT, Kaplan Test Prep will be hosting free online SAT and ACT Cram Sessions™ to help students prepare for the upcoming exams.  Sessions will be offered starting Saturday, February 21st. Congratulations to Ben Beadle his partner Cayla Chocrine and Landon Coons and his partner Danielle Runner who made the finals at the at the UVU competition in the category of scholarship jive.  It was a very large competition and Orem High had two couples in the finals.

Come check out the AP Art shows in the Media Center!

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and In the Heights. Only one day left to see both of these shows. . Cost for both shows is $9 for adults, $8 for students.  For a single show it is $6 for adults and $5 for students.

If you haven’t picked up your pictures from sweethearts, they are available at the financial office.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and In the Heights. Only two days left to see both of these shows. . Cost for both shows is $9 for adults, $8 for students.  For a single show it is $6 for adults and $5 for students.

Thank you to all of you that came to the SweetTarts dance it was awesome to get so much support.  If you paid for pictures you can pick them up at the financial secretary’s window.

Do you like to be involved?  Do you like to take pictures?  Join the 2015-2016 yearbook staff!
Applications are now available in Miss Tuttle’s room, 1003.  They are due Friday Feb 13, 2015.

Does your creative work go unnoticed? Do you want to be published? Well, submit to Argus, Orem High’s literary journal. Submit your short stories, prose, poetry, art, photography, sculpture, music, short films, anything! Submission period has started and will go until April 30th! Submit your entries to Mr. Replogle in room 2204. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! Be part of the 50th year of Argus!

It’s FCCLA Week and time to learn a little more about what our Orem High Chapter is all about. Come to the Commons area during lunch to compete to win prizes galore including Itunes and Forever 21. Be Part of It!!
