Congratulations to:  FCCLA Members Megan Pearson, Megan Shumway, Rachelle Nelson and Dana Weber as they move forward to Compete in San Diego, California in July.

Congratulations to the following students who qualified for State at the Regional Drama competition:

Rachel Peterson – Musical Theatre (took 1st place!)

Anna Low – Dramatic Monologue

Yana Andersen – Comedic Monologue

Misha Sawyer & Cagen Tregeagle – Contemporary scene

Beta Lima & Mara Hansen – Contemporary scene

Maddy Harper & Alisa Dabb – Contemporary scene

Taylor Parrish would have qualified with a Dramatic Monologue except for a time infraction!

Our one-act play which was written and originally directed by Yana Andersen, also qualified for state!!!

The Foreigner, probably the funniest play ever written, is being produced this Thursday & Friday and then next Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.  The Little Theater is small- – come early in the run and arrive early so you aren’t one of those who gets turned away on the last two nights!!

You can also buy tickets ahead of time at the financial window.

All East Shore packets that expire during Spring Break, April 2 – April 10, need to test by Friday, April 1 in order to qualify for your “earn a free course by completing a course within 30 calendar days.”
Testing is limited on Fridays. Plan ahead for more options.

Did you know the school store is now selling phone chargers? If your battery is getting low and you forgot your charger, and it’s only 1st period, stop by the school store and we’ll help get you back to full power. Remember, the school store is on the second floor, and we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Will you be 30,000? The Orem High Mercantile Institution is getting close to serving our 30,000th customer. Will it be you? Customer number 30,000 will take home a lovely prize package worth more than $50. Shop the school store early and often – you may be 30,000!

Attention Seniors! The PTSA is offering a scholarship to its members! If you are a member of the PTSA  and are a Senior, please fill out an application for free money! Applications are available in the Career Center and the Front Office!

Are you a Senior? Are you interested in attending Snow College in the Fall? A rep from Snow College will be here on TODAY the 24th during pride and lunch and will be providing a fee waiver for those that apply for admissions that day!

The District Art Show will run through March 28th with a reception on March 24th at 7:00 p.m. It will be at the University Mall next to Cotton On by the food court.  There is lots of great OHS work on display.

Seniors and parents: OHS FAFSA completion night is TONIGHT Thursday March 24th 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. OHS Counselors and a state representative will be there to help with your application.  Bring your driver’s license, social security number and 2015 tax information to complete your FAFSA. Fill out your FAFSA an you could win $500

The Counseling Office will be sponsoring several Career Presentations in March and April.  These presentations will be held from 11:30am-12:15pm. The following presenters are confirmed:

March 29 – Brittney Mulliner, local Author

Arpil 28 – Dr. Brock Kirwan, professor of psychology and neuroscience

Last day to submit assignments for East Shore packet is Monday, 5/23 at 6 pm. Anything submitted after that will not qualify to test on Tuesday, 5/24.

Last day to test for East Shore packets is Tuesday, 5/24 until 4pm.

All East Shore packet testing is done in the Red Room, 2117.
