Seniors: Looking for scholarship opportunities? Sterling Scholar is a great program to help you earn scholarship money. It will boost your resumes and teach you valuable interview skills. There are 14 different categories and we’re looking for the best of the best! Applications are available in the library now and due on October 26. Homecoming tickets are here!! Get your tickets in the financial office. $15 presale and $20 at the door.

“OREM FFA is selling boutonnieres and corsages for homecoming.  You choose between red and white roses, and one of eight accent ribbon colors.  Price is $20 for the set ( 1 corsage 1 boutonniere) when you buy together you get a matched pair.  See Mr. Wardell or the finance office for an order form.  You must pay and give Mr. Wardell your receipt by October 11th! Pick up after school on October 14th. ”

Youthlinc Student Service: application is due on October 5th. You will need 2 recommendations and your transcript.  This is open to Juniors and Seniors.

HOBY/Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar is for Sophomores interested in leadership.

HOBY’s flagship program allows high school sophomores to recognize their leadership talents and apply them in becoming effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace and community. Students attend three- or four-day seminars and participate in hands-on leadership activities, meet leaders in their state, and explore their own personal leadership skills while learning how to make a positive impact in their community. The seminar curriculum is based on the Social Change Model of Leadership and develops leadership from three perspectives: Personal Leadership, Group Leadership, and Leadership  for Society. – See more at: http://www.hoby.org/about/programs#sthash.xK4qM02h.dpuf

The seminar will be held at Aspen Grove in May 2017.  IF you are interested in attending this seminar, please come talk to a counselor.  There is a fee associated with this seminar.

Activity Cards: You will need you activity card for the football game TONIGHT. You will need to pick it up at the financial office and make sure you have a sticker to show you paid your activity fee. We will not have a list so without the card you will have to pay.

Best Buddies Club activity has changed to this Friday at 2:30.  We are meeting in Mrs. Glahn’s room right after school and will be going to Miracle Bowl.  We will be done by 4:00 pm.

A Night in Sherwood Forest presented by the choir will be this Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday at Noon.  Tickets are $12 for Adults, $10 Seniors/Students, $5 for children, and $15 at the door for everyone. Come eat good food and enjoy the talents of our students!

Football –OHS will take on Timpview tonight at Timpview.  It is a whiteout.  Go and support your OHS Tigers!

NHS Opening Social will be held TODAY September 22nd at 2:30 in the Little Theater. You should have received an invitation, if you didn’t, come and see Mrs. Cragun.  If you applied you should have received an invitation.

There is a Photo Club meeting TODAY, Sept 22 during lunch in Miss
Tuttle’s room.  Please come.  It will be a short meeting.

Paul Mitchell Cosmetology Program Open House. September 27th 6-8 p.m. at 480 North 900 East Provo.  Come and see if cosmetology is for you!

Seniors!!  You have one final chance to get your yearbook picture taken.  Christensen Photography will be here TODAY on the stage in the auditorium during lunch and after school until 3:00.  Please
make sure you get your picture taken this day.  Only senior pictures by Christensen photography will be put in the yearbook.

Students are you interested in Humanitarian service? We have a guest speaker, Brylie Houle coming to OHS on Thursday, September 15th 11:45 – 12:20 in the library during pride.  Brylie recently returned from a service trip to Cambodia and will share her experiences.
