Join us in the school store for our 31st Annual Going Out Of Business Sale. One day only – Thursday, May 21.  All food and drink items will be discounted up 90%. There will also be sale prices on hoodies, t-shirts, beanies, and all of our spirit gear. Quantities are limited so shop early and often.  Don’t miss the big sale in the school store on the second floor.


The Utah State Developmental Center will be holding a Job Fair and interviews on Tuesday, May 19th from 2:00-5:00pm. They will be hiring caregivers and have full time and summer positions available. See Mrs. Jacobs in the Career Center for more information.

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Track & Field Teams. The Boys took first at State and the girls took second. Thanks for an amazing year!

Seniors – the graduation list is posted in the main office and counseling office. If you have a red dot by your name or your name is not there you need to see your counselor.

Orem Library Show
Head over to Orem City library to see art displayed by fantastic student-artists now through May 4th.

For the month of April, the school store will be offering daily half-price specials. That’s right. During the month you will be able to purchase your favorite food, drink, apparel, or school supplies for half-price. Stop by every day since you won’t want to miss any of these specials. Shop early and often at the school store on the second floor.

Attention Juniors:
UVU is hosting a summer bridge program from June 29 – August 14, 2015. The class that will be held are Biotechnology 1010, and Physical Eductaion Sports 1097. The tuition is free. If you are interested in applying for the summer program please contact Mrs. Huntington in room 2102 or a counselor. The application deadline is April 24, 2015.

Current 9th Grader Registration Dates

Registration presentations and materials will be given to Canyon View Jr. High students on Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday March 18, and to Lakeridge Jr. High students on Thursday, March 19.

There will be a Parent Night on Thursday, March 19 at 7:00 pm in the Orem High School Little Theater.

Registration begins Tuesday, March 24 at 3:30 pm and will close Monday March 30 at 11:59 pm.

OHS Counselors will return to Lakeridge JH on Wednesday, April 1, and to Canyon View JH on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3 to check schedules.

Congratulations to the Boy’s Basketball team on their win yesterday.  They will play again tonight at 7:30. Spirit buses will be leaving from the High School at 5:30 pm, tickets are $5 for the bus and $5 for the game

Student council application packets are due to Mr. Rice TODAY at 3 p.m. sharp. There will be a trash can outside of Mr. Rice’s door for applications that come after 3 p.m. Do not forget to include your platform, your transcript, a photo, and your parent’s signature. Teachers cannot fill out your evaluations until we get your packet in so don’t wait. Get on it today.

Prom Tickets are now available in the financial office, so get your tickets right away. They are $30 pre-sale and $35 at the door. Don’t forget Prom is MARCH 7th.

All Juniors will take the ACT test on Tuesday March 3rd.

You must bring:

  • Two #2 Pencils
  • A Photo ID (School ID, Drivers License or Passport)
  • A Calculator if you want one

Your room assignments for taking the test will be posted around the school on goldenrod papers. Be in your testing room at 7:45! You cannot start the test late, no exceptions.

If you have not filled out your ACT answer form in your English class see your English teacher asap.

On March 3rd Sophomores and Seniors don’t have to come to school until 12:40. Here is the schedule for that day.

B5       12:40 – 1:00

B6       1:05 – 1:25

B7       1:30 – 1:50

B8       1:55 – 2:15


Free SAT and ACT Cram Sessions for the March 3rd and April 18th ACT and March 14th SAT test dates will be hosted from February 21st-March 8th.

For students who would like extra help for the Spring SAT and ACT, Kaplan Test Prep will be hosting free online SAT and ACT Cram Sessions™ to help students prepare for the upcoming exams.  Sessions will be offered starting Saturday, February 21st. OHS Football Players Sign Letters of Intent

Five Orem High School football players are heading on to the next level to play for schools all over the west.  Three of them signed their letters of intent on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd at a signing ceremony at Orem High School. Malcolm Macatiag will be heading to Pima CC in Tucson, AZ next fall. Isaiah Frame will head to Nebraska to be a Coffeyville Red Raven. Sampson Saluone has signed his letter of intent to become a Badger at Snow College. Junior Latu is heading to Weber State and Andrew Zollinger is expected to announce his intended destination soon. The Tiger family is proud of our boys and excited for them as they move on to bigger and better things.

Operation Smile

Operation Smile – For all students interested in being involved in Operation Smile — There will be an Opening Social on Thursday, October 18, from 5-7 p.m. at Big Screen Game Center in Orem. We will plan activities for the year and then play X-box on 10 twelve foot screens projected on the walls. We will also be taking sizes for our Operation Smile T-shirts.

Club dues are $5.00 and include the club T-shirt. The club fee can be paid in the Student Finance Office and must be paid in order to receive your T-shirt.  This is a fun club and a great way to serve others. Everyone come!! Address: 1535 W 760 N, Orem. From 800 N in Orem take a left right before the Drivers License Building. Then take your second left. See you there!!
