June 10-14

Mr. Kenley rm. 1209  8:00 – 12:00 pm

*** One parent is required to attend a Zero Fatalities meeting with their student on June 12 at 7:30 a.m. in the Little Theater

Due to low enrollment in the Driver’s Ed class, we will be changing to a hybrid, in-person and online model. We will still hold class every day, Monday, June 10th through Friday, June 14th from 8:00 to 10:00 AM.  Attendance is mandatory to each class.
We will meet for class in Room #1209 (Mrs. Yokota’s classroom).  We will have approximately 10 hours of classroom instruction.  The remaining 20 hours of the class will be done through a Canvas class from home.  You all should have already been invited to the Canvas course.  Please check and make sure you have.

I encourage you to spend the planned 6 hours per day (including the 2 hours of class time) to finish the class in one week, as originally planned.  However, students will have until June 25th to fully complete the online portion of the class, if needed.

There will be a mandatory parent/student presentation on June 12th from 7:30 to 8:30 AM in the Little Theater at Orem High School.  Students and ONE parent/guardian must attend.  This presentation will be given in Spanish at the same time for those who would prefer this option.

For the first class on Monday, June 10th, please make sure to bring the following:
  • Learner’s Permit
  • Signed Permission Slip
  • Street Smarts Completion Certificate (if completed)
  • Traffic Trends and Safety Exam Completion Certificate (if completed)
  • Pen and Notebook
  • School Issued Chromebook (if you have one)

Due to a change in our class time, we have had a slight change to our range times.  Instead of range being in the morning and evening, our range times will be daily from 10:00 am to Noon (11:00 to 1:00 on Wed).  You will need to sign up for FOUR of the five range times.  Please click on this link to choose your FOUR range times:
